Bitter Harvest is a must-read, so race to your nearest PC and buy this book. Depths of character, an everlasting love, romance, hot erotica, suspense and horror combine in a steaming cauldron of love and consequences. Jack and Claire are attorney and head ER nurse, an unlikely pairing and not judged most-likely-to-meet. Yet the two seem fated; Jack’s neighbour-godfather is rushed into the ER with a fatal heart attack. Though Claire hides behind her routine emotionless façade, she senses unexpected depths in Jack. When she determines that none of the deceased’s blood kin care, she attends the funeral and a love that never dies ensues. The reader senses at some deep level that not only are the two fated to meet, but that the Other Side might be orchestrating their entire lives. Claire loves Jack so much {as he does her also} that she will do anything to keep him with her. Soon life provides her with both the urgency to do so and the means and opportunity. But what we dream and desire sometimes has unforeseen and terrifying consequences. Bitter Harvest offers something for almost every reader. It’s an unstoppable read, and deserves rereading. Buy this one and read it at least once, then add it to your Keeper Shelf. You won’t be sorry you did. But you may want to keep the lights on if you’re reading it at night.
