| Rating: 5 Swords Gifts Stella & Audra Price Phaze A Novel of Erotic Fantasy http://www.phaze.com/authors-stellaaudraprice.htm 221 pp. 5 Swords Xtra Sizzle Each time I pick up a story from this pair of very prolific siblings, I’m astonished and amazed. Each new story enthralls me more than the story before. I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but here is the evidence in front of me. Another in the ongoing series of The Eververse {may it never end}, Gifts finds Marsh introducing his bound consort, semihuman Assassin Extraordinaire Janey to his family—his royal Djinn family. That includes placing Janey in a position where she will have to fight off-and likely kill off-her opposition for position as the Crown Prince Marsh’s consort. Orphan Janey, raised and trained in her skills by assassin Trent, doesn’t do family functions, holidays, or the usual social/emotional mode. She knows what she’s good at, which is contract-killing, running her assassin’s organization, and loving and lusting Marsh. She doesn’t need any pitfalls: Christmas with his royal family, the competition trying to hire her to kill him so Janey would die too—and especially not a potential “blessed addition.” Nothing blessed about it: Janey is NOT providing the Crown Prince’s heir. Dodging his royal pervert father Asa, squirming through palace intrigues, trying to decipher why she’s suddenly pudgier and has so much less stamina; all this on top of the Christmas holidays and Marsh’s family’s Djinn Birthing celebrations. What is Janey to do? Gifts is another mustn’t-miss from the dynamic sisters Stella & Audra Price. Run, to not walk, to your nearest ebook outlet and pick this one up immediately upon release. Caution: do not read without an ice pile or partner near at hand!
