Dronovic is married young to an Orkney Princess, even younger than he. After a quick consummation, he whisks off to defend king and
country. In the mid-13th century, such is noble life. When he finally returns after four years, he travels to the estates that have now become
his own and the title of Lord that is part of his marriage dowry from the Princess Jodis, descendant of Vikings.

Meanwhile Jodis has kept occupied building a keep, and Dronovic is gratified to learn that his wife is lovely, sturdy, buxom, and well-loved by
her people. A delightful minuet of spirits ensues as the two kept estranged by fate dance a tune which will sweep them into each other’s
arms and hearts.

Lord Dronovic is a well-researched and cheerfully wry tale which will inspire readers and perhaps awaken an interest in this fascinating
historical period. As with all Jennifer Mueller’s stories, this is well worth reading.
